How do I register for the Sammelan?

You have to register for the Sammelan online by going to

How many registration form/s should I fill out?

One registration form is needed for all family members residing at the same physical address and planning to attend the Sammelan. Family members includes spouse, unmarried children below the age of 25, and parents of the person registering. Yes, parents of spouse are also included as family members.

What all is covered in the Sammelan registration fees?

The Sammelan registration fees include attendance for all the general events, sessions and food during the entire duration of the Sammelan. Special optional events may be added in the future that might carry additional costs. These will be published as and when such events get finalized. Please note that accommodation is not covered in the registration fees.

Is there a single day registration available?

No, you must register for the whole Sammelan.

Do I need to register for the Sammelan if I plan to serve as a volunteer?

Yes, all volunteers also have to register and pay registration fees for the Sammelan.

My friend is interested in attending the Sammelan but he is not Kachchhi Jain. Can she/he register for the Sammelan?

Absolutely. However, the fees for non members will apply. Full details are available on the Sammelan Registration page.

What kinds of discounts are available? Senior citizen, infant, full family, etc?

We are pleased to offer discounts for people that register early for the Sammelan as well as for small children and for KOJAIN members. There are no discounts available for registering multiple people. Full details are available on the Sammelan Registration page.

After registering, if I cannot make it to the event, can someone else attend in my place?

No. Registration is NOT transferable. In case you want to cancel your registration please see that question in this FAQ.

I want to cancel the registration. How can I get a refund and what amount will be refunded?

Please review the cancellation policy on the Sammelan Registration page. Amount of refund depends on the date when you completed the registration and when you cancel the registration.

I would like to donate money or/and sponsor an event for the Sammelan. How can I donate or sponsor?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You can include donations along with the registration form itself. Remember all donations are tax deductible.

What payment options do I have for paying for the Sammelan?

You can pay by mailing in your check or by submitting your payment using PayPal. If you have not used PayPal before please visit to learn more about it and see if this is the right option for you.

I wish to mail a check. Where should I send it?

I wanted to pay with Paypal, but for whatever reason I didn't or cannot complete my payment after I finished my registration. Is there a second chance to pay using Paypal?

Your registration will not be complete if the PayPal transaction fails. You can attempt to re-register or pay your registration fees to KOJAIN via and include your confirmation number and a short note.


What about accommodations? Where should I stay?

If you are planning to stay in a hotel, we recommend you stay at the San Mateo Marriott San Francisco Airport, the same hotel where the Sammelan is being held. We have negotiated a special rate for Sammelan registrants. Please check the Sammelan website for details.
It is not mandatory to stay at the venue and you are free to make alternate arrangements for accomodation while attending the Sammelan.

Is there a shuttle for pickup/drop-off from/to the airport?

Yes. There is complimentary shuttle between the Sammelan venue and San Francisco Airport.

Can I bring my car to the hotel?

Yes. There is enough parking space at the hotel and it is FREE.

Is there WiFi at the Sammelan? Are there any charges for WiFi?

Complimentary WiFi is available for Sammelan guests staying at the venue.


Can I come early or leave late after the Sammelan?

You can come early, but Sammelan registration officially starts at 2:00 PM on Friday July 13th. You can leave anytime but the Sammelan officially ends at 12:00 PM Sunday July 15th.
